Anything broken with linux.dell.com/repo or up2date?

Jerry, thanks so much for taking the time to respond to me.
Unfortunately, I'm not sure what to do with your solution. The URL of
the failed file,
http://linux.dell.com/repo/software/el4/headers/header.info seems to be
generated internally by the up2date program. I think is uses this
information in /etc/sysconfig/rhn/sources:

#BEGIN dell-repository

# This block is managed by the Dell-repository RPM.

# Main unofficial Dell software repository.

yum dell-software http://linux.dell.com/yum/software/rhel4/

yum-mirror dell-software
http://linux.dell.com/yum/software/mirrors-rhel4.txt

# Unofficial Dell beta software repository.

# uncomment the following line to enable beta releases.

# yum dell-testing http://linux.dell.com/yum/testing/rhel4

#END dell-repository

When I comment out the two lines above, I'm able to complete an update
using up2date, but I suspect that it's not updating any of the non-RH
Dell software, such as OMSA.

When I tried to manually get
http://linux.dell.com/yum/software/mirrors-rhel4.txt, I got this
response and contents:

-bash-3.00# wget http://linux.dell.com/yum/software/mirrors-rhel4.txt

-bash-3.00#

This seems to indicate to me that the path that gives me the original
error is contained in the file
http://linux.dell.com/yum/software/mirrors-rhel4.txt.

It seems somewhat odd that I'm the only one having this problem, since
if my diagnosis is correct, it's broken for every system that uses the
Dell unofficial repository. Is that only a few systems?

Thanks, again, Jerry, for your help in pinpointing this error.

Kevin,

I don't know if Dell changed the path or not, but when I
received the 404 error, I tried backing up a level and tried again. I.E.
I went to http://linux.dell.com/repo/software/el4/headers/ and got the
same 404 error. Went back up a level to
http://linux.dell.com/repo/software/el4/ and received a directory
listing. It appears that you or they missed an i386 directory. The
correct path to the header.info file is -->
http://linux.dell.com/repo/software/el4/i386/headers/header.info . Hope
it helps,

Jerry

Anything broken with linux.dell.com/repo or up2date?

I just noticed that I receive this error when trying to use up2date on
my Dell RHEL EL4 system:
-bash-3.00# up2date --update
http://linux.dell.com/yum/software/mirrors-rhel4.txt
using mirror: http://linux.dell.com/repo/software/el4
There was a fatal error communicating with the server. The message was:

An HTTP error occurred:
URL: http://linux.dell.com/repo/software/el4/headers/header.info
Status Code: 404
Error Message: Not Found

-bash-3.00#

The message from /var/log/up2date is pasted in below my signature. This
seems to have been happening since 14 Feb.

Any ideas what's causing this, or how to fix it? I searched in the
archives of this list for 'up2date' in the subjects, but didn't see
anything. Apologies if I overlooked something appropriate. Thanks for
your advice and suggestions.

-Kevin
