Debian Etch on PowerEdge SC1435

Hi,

We are looking at buying a couple of PowerEdge SC1435's. I want to
install Debian Etch on both of them. They will be used as basic Samba
fileservers. I've been able to install Debian onto about nine old Dell
PowerEdge servers. Two of them are running our mail servers. They run
flawlessly.

Searching through the archives I've found people who have successfully
put Debian on PowerEdge servers. I found one drawback, so far, which is
the problem with running diagnostics. It looks like there is a
workaround using USB, PXE or a CD.

Can anybody share their experience (good or bad) with Debian on a
PowerEdge SC1435?
