SAS 6i/R management for FreeBSD

Have you tried linux-compat ?

Linux-compat emulation port installs a Fedora Core-4 environment , some video drivers work in linux-compat.

Thanks for the info. Indeed mpt-status is Linux-specific. 

I'm afraid we have to come to the conclusion that there is currently no 
way for a *BSD system to know anything about a SAS 6i/R RAID status...
