Bios update on PE2850

The Linux-based BIOS updates are only guaranteed on "commercial" distros of Linux (i.e., Suse, Red Hat Enterprise). Installing from the floppy is the most reliable way to do it. You need a Windows box to make the floppy, but download the floppy image (a .exe file) from Dell and you don't have to find an old version of DOS to make your own floppy.

I'm trying to upgrade bios on our old 2850.
The system is Debian 4.0 64bit, omsa 5.3 is running correctly, I tried this in single mode so there should be plenty of memory free (3G installed) Stock debian kernel 2.6.18-6-amd64.
