Hi,

Thanks for responding so quickly.

Indeed, I already have that. I found references to IM 1.6 being the
latest, and DRAC-Common v2.5 being the latest RPM that works with this
setup. I have all this installed and working with the megarac kernel
module. I can configure the card the way I need it to be.

Unfortunately, this is only useful for configuring the local card. It
cannot be used to control another card via the network.

On a related note, I assigned the DRAC2 the IP address/mask/gateway it
needs to use, but I cannot seem to get to anything on that IP address
afterwards. I have tried racconf -r and -d (soft and hard reset,
respectively), and even powering off the machine and disconnecting the
battery on the card to make sure it's re-set. I can arping the IP address,
and it responds with the correct MAC address, but I cannot ping it, and
nmap seems to find nothing on the IP address. Is that normal? What ports
should be open on the card?

OK, thanks for that. I'll get the images you mentioned below. The version
I had was v3.6 because this was the latest I had seen referred to in other
posts regarding DRAC2s on 2450s/2550s.

Last reference I have manage to Google said that megarac is a v2.4 kernel
only driver. It was never ported to v2.6. I don't have a problem with
this, as it is only useful for talking to the local card. I can always
have an old kernel installed and dual boot if needed just for the occasion
I need to reconfigure the RAC (I don't expect to ever need to reconfigure
it once I have it all working).

Thanks, I appreciate it.
