A precision is the other contender, however the 1900 has more room for
disks, and the graphics cards offered with the precision are way more than
is needed.

Having spent long enough sitting beside 2850s and 1950s I know they can
crank out a fair bit of noise, but once the boot process is complete they
settle down.  Besides, with long video cables and a wireless desktop the
box can be tucked away somewhere with, of course, adequate air flow...
