RAID-10 and Volumes

The Dell PERC cards allow for multiple VDs across a single set of drives
for single RAID levels (i.e. 0,1,5, and 6), but not for spanned RAID
levels.
There really isn't any advantage to diving you virtual drives up this
way. In general I would recommend just partitioning the 1 VD into
multiple partitions using fdisk or parted.

I have a PE2950 with PERC 6/I and 6 disks.
well, before I have a big RAID-10 volume with all space disk.
but, now I need create 4 volume in RAID-10.
VD-1 = 5G - /boot
VD-2 = 20G - /
VD-3 = 500G - /data1
VD-4 = 500G - /data2
but, BIOS RAID Setup not allow create 4 volumes ???
why ???
alternatives ??
