raid controller not detected in RHEL5.2 with omsa5.5

Why not just install the new drivers??

yum install megaraid_sas  (or megaraid_mbox if you are not using sas drives)

If you have dkms installed and are attached to the Dell hardware/firmware repos, it will do a ramdisk build.   A reboot will be required to get the driver loaded.

I can confirm that plain RHEL5.2 with OMSA 5.5.0 works like a charm on a
ton of 1950s and 2950s with PERC6/i here. OMSA complains about old
driver (will hopefully be updated in RHEL5.3), but besides that
everything works just fine.

I would hammer Dell support some more. The assumption it doesn't work
because the driver is (slightly) older that what OMSA prefers, is wrong.
