Im sure the disks ar in state foreign, because a config was present
before.
Just delete the foreign config in VD mgmt on the controller by pressing
F2 => after that you will see the 2 disks in pd and can create an new
array. If you want to use the data on the disks just import it.
Firmware up to date of the controller?

Subject: PE2950 with six disks
Hi,
I've got a PE2950 running RHEL4. It has four disks installed and I
recently bought two more disks to expand the storage. Unfortunately the
system can't see the two new disks (in slots 4 and 5).
The system has a PERC 5i card installed but I have not setup any raid
functionality. omreport tells me that it can only see 4 physical
disks. If I enter the SAS config at startup (i.e. Ctrl-C in the boot-up
sequence) I can only see the existing four disks listed, not the two new
ones.
I've checked the disks are functional by putting them into another
server which can see them (they're hotswap disks and they popped
straight up in dmesg).
Going back to the SAS controller config I see that only the first four
PHY interfaces are enabled. The remaining four are disabled. How can I
enable the fifth and sixth PHY interfaces so that the new disks can be
recognised by the system?
Thanks,
