Hello Dan
The poweredge 1950 uses DDR2 SDRAM FBD (Fully buffered dimms), which
will not work in your PE1855, which is using 'normal' DDR2 PC3200
240-pin SDRAM memory.

Subject: Memory compatibility question
Does anyone happen to know if memory from a PE1950 would work in a
PE1855? The spec looks the same but I'd be happy to have confirmation
before trying it.
I have a 1950 with more memory than I need (8GB in a Win2003 standard
machine) and was going to order more for an 1855 that I need to expand.
Thanks for any help,
Dan
