That post is from 2007, currently VMWare Server 2.0 (in RC) supports natively 
x64 architectures. And about OMSA, it simply doesn't make sense to complain 
abut "hacks" like installing compat libraries when the other option is to use 
a 32bit kernel with PAE extensions enabled. IMO the latter is a worse hack.
