MD3000i - MC/S using open-iscsi

Hi,

I'm using a MD3000i on SLES10 SP1 and RHEL5.2. To gain full path redundancy I set up multiple logins to MD using different subnets. I wonder if open-iscsi is able to establish multiple connections for every iSCSI session, in order to not waste login sessions. 
I do know that MD3000i is able to load balance across a single controller. But is it possible to get benefit of that in Linux as well? 

Any help/suggestions would be very appreciated.
