bootstrap_firmware broken

bootstrap_firmware -u  is broken, it returns errors.

Not sure what needs fixing.  

The final error is
AttributeError: 'module' object has no attribute
'TYPE_BOOTSTRAP'

We are having some disk issues, as-in, slow disks
using RAID-10.  It's not clear what's broken but
something is, maybe firmware will help.
