Hello,

I'm running Debian Etch on my PowerEdge840 server, with SAS5iR, 2 HDD in RAID1.

I installed OMSA 5.3 and IPMITOOL with them I can control temps, fans, processor etc.
but what I am not able to controll are hard disks.

I can see my 2 disks with lshw, but is it enough?

Could you help me please, how can I controll my 2 HDD for failure?
If one of the two disk get out how will I get noticed?

I'm including some logs

Thanks a lot

Dusan
