Does the PE 1850 take a 64-bit Linux OS?

I have Ubuntu Dapper LTS x86_64 on two PowerEdge 1850, 2 disks in hw
RAID1 on PERC 4e/Si. One is running 64-bit Xen kernel in dom0 with 64-
bit domU also running Ubuntu Dapper LTS, that server has been up
continuously for 338 days with no problems, runs jboss in the domU,
sometimes runs 2nd domU to test changes to jboss before they are
applied to the "production" domU. The other runs 2.6.15-51-amd64-
server, has been rebooted for maintenance (moved to a different subnet
and changed IP) but no problems.

I think I used the "alternate" install CD but it's been awhile. If I
was building it again now, I'd probably go with Gutsy (which has
become stable for me in testing anyway) with the thought to upgrade
Hardy in six months or so since that will be the next LTS release.

I do remember problems with running gdm / xorg on the console causing
the server to lock up because of problems with xorg and the Radeon
RV100 (which I didn't really mean to do anyway, so I just got rid of
it). Of course you can fix that by not running xorg at the console, I
think you can also fix it by using framebuffer instead of radeon / ati
driver.
