This controller does allow for reconfiguration. The easiest way to do
this would be to use OMSA to do the reconfigure operation, as I'm not
sure how to do it in the BIOS or arcconf.
OMSA:
1) Add your new drive
2) Launch OMSA GUI
3) Select "CERC SATA 6Ch" controller
4) Select "Virtual Disks"
5) Select "Reconfigure..."
6) Select the new drive from the list
7) Hit Next
8) Hit Next
9) Hit Reconfigure
Now the drive will start reconfiguring.

I can't be sure, but given my experience with that card's BIOS, I
really doubt it can do that. It's really very limited.
