Many Copies of OpenManage Processes

Hi everyone.

 

I have several PowerEdge servers here running RHEL 3 and one of them just doesn't want to appear in OpenManage IT Assistant "Devices" view. Well, it appears but under "unknown" rather than "Servers". I've been going over the systems with a fine toothcomb trying to find what is different with this system and the only thing I can find is that a large amount of OpenManage processes are being spawned.

 

As an example, this is from a server that is working perfectly:

 

dell_rbu (module) is running

ipmi driver is running

dsm_sa_datamgr32d (pid 27793) is running

dsm_sa_eventmgr32d (pid 27815) is running

dsm_sa_snmp32d (pid 27826) is running

dsm_om_shrsvc32d (pid 27861) is running

dsm_om_connsvc32d (pid 27932 27931) is running

Checking pppd (RAC) services:                              [  OK  ]

racXvnc is stopped

racsrvc (pid 28458 28176) is running...

 

 

Whereas this is from the machine that refuses to appear under "Servers":

 

dell_rbu (module) is running

dsm_sa_datamgr32d (pid 6013 5647 5644 5643 5641 5640 5639 5638 5538 5537 5474) is running

dsm_sa_eventmgr32d (pid 5657 5656 5655) is running

dsm_om_connsvc32d (pid 6228 6227 6226 6225 6224 6223 6222 6221 6220 6219 6218 6217 6216 6215 6214 6213 6212 6211 6210 6209 6208 6207 6206 6205 6204 6203 6200 5932 5914 5901 5900 5873 5872 5871 5870 5869 5868 5867 5866 5865 5864 5863) is running

racXvnc is stopped

racsrvc (pid 6448 6153) is running...

 

 

 

None of my other servers spawn as many processes as this one. Does anyone have any idea if this is something I should be concerned about or even if it may be connected to my IT Assistant issues?
