Thanks, this is great.

It will help to directly provide that link right after bootstrap.cgi is run.

Subject: bootstrap small enhancements -- feedback?

All repository users,

I've made a couple of very minor enhancements to the bootstrap script based on what I have seen from users over the past month or two. They are basically just two messaging changes, no functional changes.

First, I've added a link to the FAQ at the end of the bootstrap script, as the FAQ has the solutions to all of the known issues.

Next, the number of CentOS folks being tripped up by the fact that CentOS 4 doesnt enable plugins by default seems to be unwieldy, so I've added a message to the end specifically for CentOS to suggest enabling plugins.

I dont have any CentOS machines to test this out. Can somebody with a CentOS box please run the bootstrap script (link here: http://linux.dell.com/repo/hardware/) and report back results? The expected behaviour is that, when the bootstrap is complete, it should print the following:

======================================
Detected CentOS install.
 CentOS 4.x will not work until yum plugins are enabled. See the FAQ URL below.

If you encounter problems, please read the FAQ at:
    http://linux.dell.com/wiki/index.php/Repository/FAQ
======================================

Any non-CentOS install should only get the last half of the message above.

And last, does anybody have any other suggestions for improvements to the bootstrap scripts or repository?

Thanks,
Michael

PS: these script changes are scheduled to sync to the public mirror at 6PM CST today, in case anybody gets this email and decides to try this out in the next 10 minutes...
