Hi All,
Just wondering if anyone has any more information on what each of the
Cache Policy and Read Policy options actually do?
The write policy is pretty straight forward, but the other two are a
little vague. It mentions the Online Help, but I am not sure where that
is :-)
Cache Policy:
Different controllers support different cache policies. See the online
help for more information. The following table indicates how to specify
the [cachepolicy=<d | c>] parameter for each of the cache policies.
Direct I/O - cachepolicy=d
Cache I/O - cachepolicy=c
Read Policy:
Different controllers support different read policies. See the online
help for more information. The following table indicates how to specify
the [readpolicy=<ra| nra| ara| rc| nrc>] parameter for each of the read
policies.
Read ahead - readpolicy=ra
Adaptive read ahead - readpolicy=ara
No read ahead - readpolicy=nra
Read cache - readpolicy=rc
No read cache - readpolicy=nrc
Any information on these would really help!
Thanks!
