Debian Etch on Dell 2450

I'm setting up a pair of Dell 2450s to run DHCP/DNS/other low level
services for a small-medium size network. While I know how to do all the
OS level things, there are a few hardware specific things that I would
appreciate some guidance on:

1. Adjusting the BIOS so the system will boot after a power failure
automatically. I looked in the BIOS and was unable to find the option.
>From what I've seen, I have the impression there is some way to
configure this through some management interface to the BIOS/other
firmware.
2. Provide monitoring/notification for the hardware RAID, power
supplies, and other hardware.

I tried using the .debs on
http://linux.dell.com/files/openmanage-contributions/debian/omsa5.1/,
but I couldn't seem to get them working. Is that even the right tool for
this job? Any pointers to get me going in the right direction would be
appreciated.
