Note that "fixing" a mismatching parity (if that is what it is) typically 
destroys data. Since the controller cant know which chunk in the stripe is 
the faulty one most controllers simply update the parity and says "all 
fixed"... Statistically however, the problem was one of the data chunks and 
not the parity chunk.
