You should be able to add the drives while the system is up however you
need to take one of the nodes down to create the new VD or reconfigure
an existing VD.

Subject: Adding drives to a Powervalut 200s

I have a PowerValut 220S running in clustered mode connected to two
PowerEdge 1850 running RHEL 4.5 connected via a Perc 4e/DC card. I have

some new disk drives that I need to add to the PowerVault.
Can I add these drives while the system is running or do I need to power

down everything, add disk drives, and power up?
