MD-3000 benchmark

I wrote this up over the last few days:

perhaps it is useful if you are considering these units or wondering 
about multi-path / high-avail
on them.

The most interesting discovery I made is that internally they appear to 
have a maximum bus speed
of 485mb/sec because their controller modules are actually the same as 
IBM DS4100s and
old IBM product manuals provide the specs and details on their 
performance that Dell does not..

I wonder how many customers know that this gear is just warmed over IBM 
"mid-level" enterprise
stuff from 2004 !
