Hello All,
We have several Dell systems installed with DRAC cards of various
vintages. On these cards we use both the graphical interface and a
direct serial connect to get console access to the systems, which are
running Redhat Linux.
When I log into the DRAC card I do a connect com2 to get a login prompt
on the server. when I've done whatever I need to do I then type ^\ to
drop back to the DRAC $ prompt and then exit to terminate the ssh/telnet
connection.
The problem is that when I repeat this exercise I get the message about
com2 being is use, as shown here;
box-DRAC login: root
Password:
Dell Remote Access Controller 5 (DRAC 5)
Firmware Version 1.20 (Build 07.03.02)
$ connect com2
connect: com2 port is currently in use
The only way I know around this is to do a racadm racreset which seems
an overkill to me.
Does anyone know a sequence of commands to terminate the session without
leaving the port in this state ?
Does anyone know what commands are available at the $ prompt, I can't
find a list anywhere ?
Thanks for all anticipated help.
John.
