disable the hyper threading ON Linux

Davis is correct RHEL3 U6 had the noht option available. But there were
2 BZ fixed in RHEL3-U7

137101 - 'noht' does not work for ia32e
137344 - Cannot disable hyperthreading on x86_64 platform

So even though the command line option is added it may not actually work
 in RHEL3 U6
