Not really.  This stuff is a bit erratic under the hood.  I've seen the
same PERC cards recognized and updated in one set of servers but not
another, have seen one version of firmware tools download a particular
PERC FW upgrade but fail trying to install it, then a later version of the
tools fail to "see" the update as still needed on that same hardware.  I
do R&D using the Dell repos, but don't find them reliable enough to plan
production updates around them.  Booting floppies, CDs, etc, for firmware
updates may be slow, but is predictable downtime.  Beats a JTAG interface.
