Hard Drive Detection on PowerEdge 860

Hello Everybody,

I have a very strange problem on serverals PowerEdge 860 with 2.6.19 and 
2.6.20 Custom Kernels : The SATA drive is detected randomly by the 
kernel (while a system installation or a new Fedora Installation).

On severals boots, the hard drive is correctely detected and the system 
perfectly works but sometimes, it is impossible to boot the system 
(Kernel Panic)

I compiled several kernels (2.6.19.2, 2.6.19.7,2.6.20.21) but the 
results is still the same.

Does anybody noticed anything about this hardware ? Could a firmware 
update resolve the problem ?
