Hi Andrey,
Fdisk/parted shows the old size of /dev/sda disc (HW RAID virtual disc). Need somehow inform a kernel about new size of /dev/sda disc L
I have there lvm used over /dev/sda, so resizing is not so big problem for me.
Regards

where are you not seeing it enlarged?
ext2/3 FS needs to be resize2fs'd, and fsck'd prior to, but you'd see the change in fdisk first.

Subject: Disc upgrade - how to reread partition table?
Hello guys,
Some easy question for guru`s:
I`ve received new hdd into poweredge server, succesfully enlarge the RAID virtual disc BUT I do not know whether I am able (without rebooting) reread partition table under Debian Etch? Is it possible (and how)?
sfdisk –R did not help me L it still shows the former size of disc.
Thanks for hints
Kind Regards
/Radek
