Notifications from OMSA

I'd recommend executing an application - maybe a bash/perl script that
sends a mail?

I had a customer before who wrote a quick C program that did this on
W2003 - worked fine

Subject: Notifications from OMSA

Provided that (fortunately) till now I've not yet had any problem with
servers running OMSA, I would like to know if in case of failure I'll
receive some notifications.

E.g. on a PE850 running OMSA 3.2.0 (on Debian Etch) I configured
parameters so that if I try to manually send an e-mail within OMSA I
correctly receive it. But will this happen when an alert will raise?
Is it possible to receive an email or what else? Unfortunately I'm not
very skilled, and I don't know any other way to receive such
notifications (apart from the message on the console, that I'll rarely
see).

BTW, in the "Alert Management" tab I can only see three actions for an
alert:
- Display an alert message on the server
- Broadcast a message
- Execute application
but I don't see how to have a mail sent in case of alert.

TIA for any hint.
