RAID monitoring

I use Nagios.

I also have a script that I run hourly that uses ipmitool to check the
ipmi log for new entries.

If there's anything new, it emails me the contents. This could be
anything from an ECC memory event to a hard disk assertion on a PERC5/i.

Someone on the Rocks cluster list shared the script with me and I've
adapted it further.

I can send it to you if you are interested.

Mike

i've got a script i use for perc 4 and 5 cards that runs through cron
and will email you if the disk state isn't online, which would tell you
there's been a HD failure
