Poweredge 2500 and Ubuntu 7.10 server

I don't have a PE 2500 so I can't tell if it works or not, other than a
gratuitous it should.

Rather than go through an endless stream of lengthy downloads and burns,
you might consider the following.

The downloaded ISO has an md5sum associated with it. The details are on
the Ubuntu site where you downloaded the ISO from, as well as methods
for verifying the image on a host of OS's. Use the appropriate one to
verify the image, before burning.

Secondly the ISO is a live CD. Boot the machine you used to burn the CD
with it, and verify the CD on that machine, it will let you know whether
the burn was good or not.

Finally if you have a good CD which won't verify in the PE2500, then I
would suspect the 2500's CD drive, try replacing it.
