We have public git repositories available (http://linux.dell.com/git).
They are currently read-only, but I have a few ideas for how to make
them read/write. Most probably anything I set up would be based upon git
repos.

It is absolutely not our intention to "absorb" anything. I'm simply
trying to provide a useful service to our customers. The repos would be
open to any software with OSI-approved licensing.

IF any of the customer-contributed stuff ever became interesting to the
folks who do OpenManage, they would absolutely comply with any licensing
on the contributed packages.
