Is this 100% reproduceable? If you run the up2date command 5 times does
it happen every time? Any new info in /var/log/up2date? I dont see this
in my environment and dont quite see the root cause. I'm trying to
determine if this is a latency problem with the repo or if it is some
client side error.

It was a tweak on my server side scripts. Nothing for you to do on the
client.
