Availability and plans for upgrading to RHEL5?

[This question may just reveal how clueless I am as a system
administrator. If so, please forgive me.]

I just noticed that Red Hat has released RHEL5. Searching the archives
of this list for RHEL5 didn't turn up anything germane. I read the
Linux-poweredge FAQ about not announcing upgrades in advance, due to FTC
regulations. However, can anything be revealed? In particular:

Will the upgrade from RHEL4 to 5 happen automatically if we use
'up2date'. If not, what controls when it happens?

Any documentation available yet?

Any hints on upcoming dates?

Thanks. Hope this isn't common knowledge that I've somehow overlooked.
