Shrink RAID5?

The PERC 4's and PERC 5's don't support this operation. However, the
Adaptec based PERC 3's will allow it. I'm not entirely sure about the
commands to run to do this. Honestly my advice would be to back up the
data, delete the old volume, create a new one, and then restore the
data. I really don't know how well the card does the shrink operation.

Subject: Shrink RAID5?

I'd like to remove one of the 5 drives from a RAID5 array. Will the
following work? (I've already shrunk the filesystem )
AFA0> container reconfigure /partition_size=0M 0 (0,4,0)

Is this possible at all?

Regards,
