PE2550 Serial Ports not working

Well, after a lot of mucking about It seems that Fedora Core 6 did not 
install serial drivers at all.  After many attempts to install them by 
hand, I gave up and did a clean install of Fedora Core 5. 

The serial ports are working fine now.
