First off, the 2.7-1 firmware is quiet old. We've been recommending the use of 2.8-1 for quiet some time now. As for why /dev/afa0 is not present I need to know a little bit more about your system. So can you give us the uname output as well as the contents of the /proc/scsi directory and if it exists the content of the /proc/scsi/aacraid directory?
