Thomas,

sorry, didn't read it right.

The following is when I start snmpd with "/etc/init.d/snmpd start"
:/home/# ps auxw | grep snmpd
snmp      2944  2.0  0.1   7976  3904 ?        S    15:19   0:00
/usr/sbin/snmpd -Lsd -Lf /dev/null -u snmp -I -smux -p /var/run/snmpd.pid
127.0.0.1

and this one is the one when I only start it with "snmpd" (when its
working).
:/home/# ps auxw | grep snmpd
root      2952  2.0  0.1   7892  3876 ?        S    15:20   0:00 snmpd

The following is in the "/etc/default/snmpd" file:
export MIBDIRS=/usr/share/snmp/mibs
SNMPDRUN=yes
SNMPDOPTS='-Lsd -Lf /dev/null -u snmp -I -smux -p /var/run/snmpd.pid
127.0.0.1'
TRAPDRUN=no
TRAPDOPTS='-Lsd -p /var/run/snmptrapd.pid'

But I didn't change anything in that.

chiel
