Ambient temperature reading for 2800

ipmitool gives two values for Ambient temperature on our 2800s:

# ipmitool sdr type temperature | grep Ambient
Ambient Temp     | 03h | ok  |  7.1 | 23 degrees C
Ambient Temp     | 0Ah | ok  |  7.1 | 22 degrees C

The second one seems to track the room temperature quite accurately
but the first one is always 23 degrees.  Does anyone know what
the first temperature is supposed to indicate?
