Hi Dave,
We're about to purchase a 2 drive LTO-4 Fibre-Channel tape lib shortly. It
is my understanding the backup software must support LTO-4 encryption key
management. Examples:

Subject: LTO 4 encryption?
Hi,
I'm getting tempted by the new LTO-4 drives but I'm a bit worried
by the encryption on them.
Does anyone know from Linux what you need to do to control that -
how can you tell whether it is on or off? How can you set the keys?
My biggest worry is finding that it has been encrypting without
me ever having set the key.
Dave
