Thanks for the suggestion :-)
I ran 'omreport system alertlog' and the strace ends in a load of
errors... This is a snippet from the turning point:
uname({sys="Linux", node="bartje.xxxxxx.nl", ...}) = 0
open("/opt/dell/srvadmin/omsa/log/dcsys32.xml", O_RDONLY) = -1 ENOENT
(No such file or directory)
open("/opt/dell/srvadmin/shared/.ipc/.dcsupmtx0E55BA4528406E191AFCE0358E720701",
O_RDWR|O_CREAT, 0660) = -1 ENOENT (No such
file or directory)
open("/dev/tty", O_RDWR|O_NONBLOCK|O_NOCTTY) = 4
writev(4, [{umovestr: Input/output error
0x17ecf15cf8, 47110761002}, {umovestr: Input/output error
0x2ecf15d11, 145709161828}, {umovestr: Input/output error
0x4ecf15d15, 38520824528}, {ptrace: umoven: Input/output error
The xml file does not exist and the shared folder in the other call is
not there either... That might be the cause of the problem but I don't
have clue where the files of folder should come from... So is this a
problem generated by my manual installation skills or is something else
going haywire?...
