Hi there.
We have an unresponsive 2950 running CentOS4 which is showing a
succession of these messages on the console...
EXT3-fs error (device dm-0) in start_transaction: Journal has aborted.
It's a 6x3.5" SAS disk RAID10 array, with a PERC5/i controller.
And in the DRAC system event log...
Storage ROMB Battery: Battery Sensor For Storage, Failed Was Asserted
Also, the DRAC Batteries probe reveals that the storage ROMB battery
reading has failed.
My questions are...
1. Could these incidents (filesystem error and ROMB battery failure)
be related, or are they co-incidental?
2. What is a ROMB battery, and what is its purpose?
3. How do I go about replacing it?
Thanks very much for your help,
Andrew Hall.
P.S. Yes, I am (relatively) new to all this :-)
