The embedded PERCs in the 2550s are the Adaptecs, use the AACRAID driver,
no issues with current kernels AFAIK. And the LSI PERC 3's, which could
be present as add-ons, use the current generation megaraid_mbox driver,
thus don't present special challenges in my experience. The PERC 2 LSIs
fall off the apple cart regularly when a kernel update doesn't include the
legacy megaraid driver, or the mkinitrd/initscripts don't properly handle
it.
