Drives showing as capacity 0MB in BIOS but otherwise detected

I'm hoping this isn't just straight-up hardware failure; we just
bought three of these drives and it's happening with two of them,
but...
I'm trying to create a RAID-10 array with a PERC 4/Di in a PowerEdge
2850. Three of the disks look fine, but the other two show '---' for
the size when in the logical drive menu, and they can't be selected.
If you look at the drive information for them in the "physical drives"
menu, most of the information is correct; the PERC correctly retrieves
the manufacturer and model number. However, the capacity shows 0MB
instead of ~132GB. The error counters currently both show zero
(for "media errors" and "other errors"), but I remember before it did
have an "other errors" count of 1. No idea what that error actually
was, though; there doesn't seem to be anywhere to retrieve that
information.
Is there something I need to do to prepare these disks for use in the
PERC, or do I have a couple of doorstops here (despite the fact that
the PERC was able to read most of the identifying info off them...so
obviously they're connected properly at least, I guess)?
