2950 hard drive temperatures

We don't currently expose this data. Our hard drive team has said that
it has little to no field debugging value. If you really have a need for
this data please talk to your sales/support reps who can then push this
requirement back on engineering for the next version of OMSA.

I've got a PE 2950 running Debian Etch that I've installed omsa onto.
It's all working great and I'm quite happy with it.

I've been trying to get the temperatures of the individual drives in the
machine. It's got 6 drives in it, the omsa storage section shows the
drives and shows various information about them, but doesn't have any
temperatures. I've also tried to get this information using the MegaCLI
tool but it doesn't seem to have it.

Is it possible to get this information from the drives? I've had a look
at using hddtemp but it wants to get it's information from the SMART
information on the drive. Only I don't seem to be able to get at this
information.

I've searched back through the archives but I can't see any answers to
this issue. I've included some information about the server, if anyone
has any pointers on how to do this it would be great:
