PE860 ipmi over lan locks up

Hello All,

I have a PE860 running A03 with BMC 1.73 firmware. I poll it every 5
minutes for temperature and other sensors. From the time the power
cable is plugged in it takes no more than 8 hours before IPMI is
unresponsive over the LAN (yes, I am polling from a separate machine).
ipmitool remains working on the local machine using /dev/ipmi0, however.

The error message when it fails is:

Error: Unable to establish LAN session
Get Device ID command failed
Unable to open SDR for reading
Sensor "Planar Temp" not found!

The default gateway switch for the BMC still has the correct ARP entry
hours after it fails to respond (it's still polling). The default
gateway also remains working perfectly fine for the system itself. The
server's eth0 and the BMC share physical port 1 (not sure if there's
another way).

"ipmitool mc reset warm" doesn't help, but "ipmitool mc reset cold"
brings IPMI back to a working state, as well as pulling the power plug
and plugging it back in.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this before I call support?

Thanks,

Dale
