Performance of PV MD3000 and PE 2950

Hi All,
We are using PV MD 3000 and PE 2950 server.The disk space is around 1.2TB  &
it is configured in  raid 10.The io wait on the server is very high on a
average when compared to other servers.It is around 20 mb/sec which is
exceptionally high .

So can anyone suggest the ways of increasing the performance.Whether it is
OS(RHEL 4.0) related or raid related .Your suggestions are highly
appreciated and please get back to me if you need any further details.
