You need the mptctl module for OMSA to manage the SAS5 controllers.
However, there have been issues using Debian or Ubuntu with OMSA
mentioned previously on the list. Since Ubuntu is not a supported OS for
OMSA it might not work even with the mptctl module.

The PE860 I have comes with SAS drives running RAID 1. However loading
the mpt fusion using the /etc/modules does not allow OMSA to detect the
RAID controller. In fact from dmesg, there is no additional output
indicating the controller was detected after the module was loaded. The
modules I loaded are mptbase and mptsas.
I would like to seek for help in solving this issue.
