1950 - RHEL4 x86_64 - CPU count

Hi

I have a dual dual core 1950 and on it i have RHEL 4 x86_64 and i wonder 
that even with HT enabled i only ever see the 4 physical CPU's and not 
the 8 i see under x86_32.

I think this is due to how a real 64bit OS handles the cores but can 
anyone confirm this?
