No mib info on Debian Sarge with snmpd + omsa

Can you send us your /etc/snmp/snmpd.conf file?

Also have you tried "-v 2c" instead of "-v 1" on snmpwalk command?
(although don't think it should matter).

What happend if you do "snmpwalk -v 2c -OS -c public localhost
system"?
